At WW Johnson Meat Company, we are committed to providing
the safest and most consistent quality ground beef
available. This commitment to quality and food safety is the
foundation of our business.
Our production processes are governed by USDA/FSIS
supervised sanitation and HACCP programs. These programs are
designed to insure that complete sanitation and critical
control processes are maintained each and every day.
The first step in food safety begins with the raw materials.
Our ground beef is manufactured using raw materials sourced
exclusively from pre-approved suppliers. Each approved
supplier must harvest cattle that have been fed in full
compliance with FDA Title 21CFR, part 589.2000 – BSE
ruminant feeding regulations. We also require that our
suppliers have multiple pathogen intervention methods. All
of our raw materials are tested and found negative for
E.coli O157:H7 prior to acceptance at our facility.
We supplement these government supervised programs with our
own internal Process Control Plans that require additional
control measures, including regular microbial testing of
finished ground beef products.
The end result is safe, fresh, appetizing ground beef. We
grind fresh to order every day to provide a maximum extended
shelf life of 21 days for fresh ground beef and 180 days for
frozen ground beef.
